Derek's Montessori "Pre-School" Graduation Day - June 17, 2009

This was Derek's first show in front of a crowd and he did very well, despite stating he felt shy. He stood and sat well, followed directions as expected from our school angel, and used hand motions with the few songs sang.
This year's Montessori show was quite different from past ones with very few songs and more certificte handing for those going to Grade 1 next year, then again for all the students for completing this year. He was asked to wear orange, which happens to be his good colour, the Dutch colour, and Mom's favorite colour.
Clever friend, Sophia, coached Derek to take the photo with Mommy so if he "pleased Mommy", Mommy would then "please him" (and Sophia!;) by bringing him to Music in the Park that evening (it rained...)
